I had a great tour with Said. He kept in touch with me in the days leading up to the tour to let me know what was going on, and did exactly what he said he would do--he met me at the border, and he and his father drove us through the Fann Mountains. I highly recommend Said and his company Marco Polo!

Excellent tour in Tajikistan with Said and his team! Our guide Shahzod and all the drivers were extremely professional and very knowledgeable. We visited all Seven Lakes in one day, had a great picnic by the mountains, hiked, visited the local market and the local mosque, visited a famous town in the mountains and had all the time we wanted to explore the beautiful nature. Smooth pick-up and drop-off at the border checkpoint in a very comfortable and spacious car, very well suited for the mountainous terrain. We slept in a comfortable traditional room in Said’s home and experienced the best of Tajikistan’s warm hospitality. Cannot recommend this tour and Said’s company enough.

We bookes our Tajikistan and Uzbekistan trip with Said owner of Marco Polo travel company. From our initial chat we knew Said will deliver the trip we wanted and he certainly did. We had a slight issue with visa, Said stepped in and sorted the problem. No task was big for him he was always willing to help. We had an excellent english speaking driver who went out of his way to make sure our trip was an enjoyable experience. Any last minute changes to the itenery was never an issue. I passed a wonderful holiday last year in August between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan with Said and three friends of mine. The trekking was sometimes hard but finally amazing: huge mountains, cristal lakes and wild nature everywhere. We went trekking for ten days in the remote area of Yagnob Valley and Fann Mountains. They organized all things very well and did the best to make our stay very pleasant. They know very well the area because they came from Varu, the ancient village of the Yagnob Valley. We had porters, donkeys, and a medical doctor too. They are the kindest people I’ve ever known during a trip like this. They helped us to solve every problem during the trek and at the end of the trip, we were hosted in their house in Panjakent. After trekking, we went to Uzbekistan for seven days to visit Samarcanda, Bukhara, and Khiva and the trip was very well organized. Good hotels and meals and good guides to explain us all the aspects of the ancient towns. I can only recommend them for kindness, competence, and friendship. Best regards, Paolo!

Brilliant trip hiking in the Fann mountains. Said and his family assembled an excellent and deeply experienced team of guides, and also was very helpful in sorting out visas (UK passport requirement - not easy). Decent food, equipment and superb donkey men - we would not hesitate to go back.
