Sanatorium "Shaambary" - located 26 km west of Dushanbe in the foothills of the southern slope of the Gissar Range, at an altitude of 1150 m above sea level, where patients with diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, liver and biliary tract are treated. The main natural healing factor of the sanatorium is nitrogen, chloride-sulfate, sodium, low-thermal (14-37 degrees C) waters used for drinking and intestinal shower, as well as for organizing mineral baths, underwater massage. The waters contain healing concentrations of balneological active components such as iodine, bromine and silicic acid. The sanatorium operates all year round and is designed for 260 beds (in winter) and 418 (in summer). Patients are accommodated in single and double rooms. Cinema and video halls, phytobar are offered to patients. In this region, winters are short and relatively warm, summers are hot and dry. Warm summer days last up to 270-300 days. Very little precipitation.
